This week we have started working on our company owned Cessna 182 Skylane for a complete avionics upgrade. We have a couple weeks before the next big avionics modification starts on the Learjet so we decided to fill that time by updating our company airplane. Check out the before and during pics already posted below and check back often to see during and after pics. This upgrade package will include the following:
From Garmin:
- Garmin G500 Glass cockpit PFD/MFD with AHRS.
- GNS430W – WAAS GPS/Nav/Comm.
- GTX330 – Mode-C Transponder.
- GDL-69A – XM satellite Data-Link weather with audio.
- SL30 – Nav-Comm.
From PS Engineering:
- PMA8000B MP3 – Audio Panel with MP3.
Mid-Continent Instruments:
- Lifesaver Gyro – Model 4300 electric attitude indicator with battery backup.
From JP Instruments:
- EDM930 – Engine Data Management digital monitoring system.
Artex equipment:
- ME406 – 406 mhz ELT.
Plus all new custom panel and pedestal.
Equipment we are removing includes: Garmin: CNX80 (GNS480) GPS, GMA340 Audio panel. Bendix King: KX155 Nav-Comm(14v w/ G/S), KMD250 MFD, KT76A transponder, KI206 Nav indicator, KI209 Nav indicator. 3M WX8 Stormscope. Shadin digital fuel flow. Mitchell DG. Electronics International SR8 engine analyzer, plus other instruments and indicators.
These items will be tagged serviceable with FAA 8130 and will be listed for sale on the used parts market.
