Gulfstream owners this one is for you!

Wednesday, February 15th, 2012

The FDARM-IPD-Y-2 has all the same features as the standard version, but is designed to accommodate the smaller, second generation Apple iPad 2. All mounting specifications, exterior dimensions, and operational elements are identical for both units. Apple iPads are not included. These products are designed to securely mount to the yoke of a Gulfstream. The unit provides a clear, unobstructed view of flight maps and charts. The FDARM-IPD-Y/-2 can also be rotated 90 degrees to take advantage of the iPad’s landscape mode.

The FDARM-IPD-Y/-2 can tilt FWD and AFT approximately 15° in both landscape and portrait modes allowing the user to adjust the viewing angle of the display. The mount also includes a 5 volt charger. This charging capability is an option, which the installer will have to determine if the unit will be powered prior to installing. It is the installer’s responsibility to understand the product’s requirements and to install the product in compliance with industry standards and safety. ** NOTE: If the iPad is running processor-intensive applications, it may not charge, or hold charge, even when connected to a power source. **

The FDARM-IPD-Y/-2 is perfect for in flight use of the Apple iPad. Once the flight is complete, the entire mount assembly can be easily removed from the yoke, or with the pull of a latch, the iPad can be removed from its mount.

If you would like to know more about the FDARM-IPD-Y-2 or would like one installed, contact Spirit Avionics at 614.237.4271 or email sales@spiritavionics.com.

Do you hate the look of your old and burnt out post lights? Well then try some NULITEs!!

Wednesday, February 1st, 2012

NULITEs are a revolutionary lighting system for aircraft instruments. They give the same lighting appearance as internal lighting kits at a fraction of the cost. NULITEs have a special bezel that focuses light toward the instrument, preventing light from reflecting into the pilot’s eyes. When sandwiched between the instrument and panel, NULITEs reduce glare and “hotspots” by concentrating 60% of the light on the upper half of the instrument.

 INSTALLATION MADE EASY

No special tools or equipment are required. NULITEs can be installed by anyone in just a few minutes; a simple log book entry is made by any certified pilot or mechanic.
NULITEs are wired into any existing dimming system without the need for extra circuits, inverters, or remote boxes.

If you would like to know more about NULITEs or would like some installed, contact Spirit Avionics at 614.237.4271 or email sales@spiritavionics.com.
